What’s Included in a Full Replacement

Our full fascia, soffit and gutter replacement service includes:

Remove 1st row of tiles (if interlocking) to expose rotten felt and cut this out.
Remove fascia, soffit and guttering and any debris left in the roof space.
Re-timber each roof spa using treated timber ensuring level and straight fixing points.
Fit new UPVc fascias and soffit and also Freefoam gutter and downpipe system.
Fit combined vent system and rigid membrane, and if suitable birdguard.
Re-instate roof tiles if removed.
During your installation, some roof tiles may break or there may already be damaged tiles present on the first two rows of tiles. These will be replaced with the nearest match available from the roofing merchants at the time of installation.
Clean and seal the new UPVc fascia, soffit and guttering.

House Gables: If applicable

Remove cement pointing from verge edge.
Remove fascia and soffit and check for rotten timbers on the gable ladder and tile battens. (Replace any as necessary)
Fit new UPVc fascias and soffit and if required Dry Verge system. (Traditional cement pointing also an option).
Form decorative box ends where gables meet the house runs.
Clean and seal the new UPVc fascias and soffits.
Re-fit any aerials or phone lines back in the original positions unless stated otherwise.

We then check your overall installation and clean and tidy the whole site.

We don’t take shortcuts — every detail is checked to make sure your new roofline performs as good as it looks.

What We Don’t Do

We never overclad (cap over existing timber) – and here’s why.

Covering over rotten timber might look like the cheaper option, but it’s a false economy. The rot underneath keeps spreading, weakening the fixings and eventually causing your fascias and soffits to come loose.

You’ll end up with more damage – and a bigger repair bill. That’s why GFS Plastics always removes the old wood first and replaces it with solid, secure uPVC boards that last.
